Located in the largest chemical complex in southern Europe, BASF Tarragona is one of the company's main production centers. In an area of more than 100 hectares , it houses four production plants operated by BASF, a joint venture with SONATRACH and five third-party company plants.

Production plants at BASF Tarragona supply industries that manufacture end products; such as detergents, cosmetics, plastics and fungicides. These produced substances fall into the following categories:

• Formulas for fungicides that are used to protect crops. More than 70 formulas are used to produce 2,500 finished products.
