About
GETEC PARK.EMMEN, is located in Emmen in the North-East of The Netherlands. The activities are focused on innovative fibers, composites and plastics made from virgin or recycled sources. Biobased materials are focal point as diverse feedstock materials are directly available in the region. Close relations with universities (e.g. StendenLab – Real World Learning is at site) and the local/regional government provide a highly supportive environment for new businesses. Different competence networks (GreenPAC, Stenden-PRE, universities Groningen, Wageningen, Senbis) are easily accessible and cooperate closely with EMMTEC services Laboratory.
The site has excellent infrastructure connections (road/rail) with major international harbors (for example Rotterdam, Hamburg) and key urban areas in NW-Europe. The site infrastructure includes between others steam, pressurized air, water, waste water treatment, logistics, laboratory and engineering services.
