Air Liquide at ZILS: trust and stability in a long-term partnership
Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and healthcare, has a strong and long-standing connection with aicep Global Parques through its production unit located at ZILS – Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone.
Since 1902, the company has been built on oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, molecules essential to life, matter and energy, placing innovation and sustainability at the heart of its activity. In Portugal, where it has been present since 1923, Air Liquide is the national leader in the production of industrial and medical gases, supporting strategic sectors and contributing to commitments in energy transition and climate action.
The Sines unit, with around 15 years of operation, plays a central role in the supply of industrial gases, ensuring process efficiency, safety and support to the industries established in the region. According to Micael da Silva, Plant Manager of Air Liquide at ZILS, “the Air Liquide air gases production plant in Sines represents a partnership of trust and stability with aicep Global Parques, which has proven to be an active partner from the project’s implementation phase through to the plant’s start-up. After nearly 15 years of operation, aicep Global Parques continues to provide support to Air Liquide whenever needed, thanks to the experience and knowledge of the ZILS management team in the region.”
This solid partnership contributes not only to Air Liquide’s competitiveness, but also to local economic development, further enhancing Sines’ attractiveness as a hub for investment and innovation.
