Nobian (a chemical company wholly owned by Nouryon) is a European leader in the production of essential chemicals for sectors from construction and cleaning to pharmaceuticals and water treatment. The company supplies high-purity salt, chlor-alkali and chloromethanes, thanks to an integrated value chain and modern production sites in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.
Nobian has approximately 1,600 employees in the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Hengelo, Delfzijl, Arnhem, Amsterdam and Deventer), Germany (Ibbenbüren, Bitterfeld and Frankfurt), Denmark (Mariager), and Sweden (Göteborg).
Nouryon has chosen to rename its wholly owned Industrial Chemicals subsidiary as Nobian. This will allow Nobian to develop its European value chain for basic chemicals under its own name. The Nouryon brand name will continue to focus on growing its leading position in global specialty chemicals.
