Jervois Expands Cobalt Refining Capacity in Kokkola, Finland
Jervois Global Limited (JRV) announced today it is commencing a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) to expand its cobalt refining capacity at the Kokkola Industrial Park in Finland.
Expansion Highlights
- Increase annual capacity from 6,250 to at least 12,250 metric tonnes of refined cobalt.
- Meet growing global demand for cobalt in batteries and other industries.
- Increase participation in cobalt regeneration through "closed loop" recycling.
- Support Jervois' strategy as a globally significant cobalt supplier.
Project Details
- The new refinery will be located near Jervois Finland's existing facilities.
- Expansion is expected to be at least 6,000 metric tonnes of annual capacity.
- Timing and financials will be determined by the BFS.
