Sumitomo Seika Chemicals Company, Limited. is a Japan-based chemical company. The Company operates in three business segments. The Chemical Product segment manufactures and sells industrial chemicals, medical products, functional products, water-soluble polymers and fine-grained polymers. The Water Absorbing Resin segment provides super water absorbing resins. The Gas and Engineering segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of medical gas, chemical gas, standard gas and gas for electronics, as well as the design, manufacture and sale of pressure swing absorption (PSA) of oxygen/nitrogen/hydrogen gas generators and general chemical engineering equipment, among others. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 10 subsidiaries.
