Vynova Alkoxides GmbH awards first basic engineering contract for new alcoholates plant at the Lülsdorf site in Germany.
Vynova Alkoxides GmbH is starting the concrete realisation of the construction of a new alcoholates plant at the Chemiepark Lülsdorf GmbH site in Lülsdorf, Germany. To this end, the contract for basic engineering has been awarded to an external engineering company with the aim of finalising the basic design by the summer of this year.
The company plans to invest in plants for the production of sodium and potassium methylate as well as sodium ethylate. The contract that has now been awarded is an important step towards securing the planned commissioning of the plant in autumn 2027 and ensuring that the supply of alcoholates from Lülsdorf to the market can continue even after the current mercury electrolysis-based production has been discontinued.
