Vioneo (founded by A.P. Moller Holding) is committed to revolutionizing the plastic industry by producing fully fossil-free polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) from green methanol, which contains only biogenic CO2. Their production process eliminates fossil feedstock and is powered by renewable energy, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Their first facility, located in Antwerp, Belgium, is set to begin operations in 2028, producing 300,000 tonnes of plastic annually and cutting 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. Vioneo aims to lead the transition towards sustainable plastic production.
