Petroineos Trading Limited

Petroineos operates the Grangemouth Refinery and is a Joint Venture formed between INEOS and PetroChina in 2011. As Scotland’s only crude oil refinery, Petroineos is the primary supplier of aviation fuel for Scotland’s main airports and the major supplier of petrol and diesel across Scotland’s Central Belt, as well as in Northern Ireland and Northern England.

Petroineos trades a comprehensive range of energy products, supported by a network across the globe. Trading is carried out by three divisions: crude, refined products, and power & emissions. The annual trading volume exceeds 70 million tonnes with trading revenue in excess of $30 billion.

The refineries at Grangemouth, Scotland, and Lavera, France represent some of Europe’s longest standing crude oil refineries. The two refineries process over 420,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produce more than 19 million tonnes of oil products each year.
