RÜTGERS Germany GmbH produces basic and specialty chemicals for various industries at the Castrop-Rauxel site. RÜTGERS is a manufacturer of tar chemical products for more than 150 years. Around 1,000 employees work at seven international production sites.
Triton acquired Rütgers from Evonik Industries AG in 2007, where it was a non-core business within the specialty chemicals division.
