Foster Wheeler Receives Process Design Award for Hydrogen Production Unit from NIS, Serbia

Foster Wheeler Ltd. (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced today that NIS – Naftagas Promet has awarded Foster Wheeler Italiana S.p.A. the process design package for a new hydrogen production unit to be built at the Pancevo refinery in Serbia. NIS - Naftagas Promet is a subsidiary of NIS - Petroleum Industry of Serbia.

The terms of the award were not disclosed and the project was included in Foster Wheeler's first-quarter bookings.

Foster Wheeler will provide a process design package and technical follow-up during the detailed design phase. The new hydrogen unit, which will use natural gas as feedstock, will have a capacity of 47,000 normal cubic meters per hour (Nm3 /h), approx 30.000 t/y, and includes pressure swing absorption .

This phase of the project is scheduled for completion by August 2005.
