Vinnolit: Expansion of Paste-PVC in Burghausen
Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG, Ismaning, is to further strengthen its position as worldwide market leader for Paste-PVC by increasing capacity at its Burghausen plant.
The expansion, based on the Emulsion-PVC process, will increase annual capacity at this site from 50kt to 71kt and involves the construction of a further spray dryer and the removal of bottlenecks in the polymerisation process. "We intend to maintain pace with the dynamic growth of the Paste-PVC markets in Eastern Europe and overseas," states Managing Director, Dr Josef Ertl. Alongside the expansion of Paste-PVC, the capacity of the raw materials chlorine, EDC and VCM in Knapsack will also be increased. The investments in Burghausen and Knapsack together total some €30million.
