EGAT is a project in Poland to build PDH/PP production facilities, which will produce 400,000 tons of polypropylene per year. It is the largest petrochemical plant construction project in Poland and the largest project won and executed by a Korean engineering company in the EU. The project is expected to open doors for the company in various construction fields in Europe. The project is being carried out by Hyundai Engineering for PDH Polska S.A. (Grupa Azoty) and is expected to be completed in 2023.
EGAT, located in Police, Zachodniopomorskie (450km northwest of Warszawa, Poland), is a project to build PDH/PP production facilities. Through the PDH process, propylene is produced in propane gas and combined with ethylene to produce 400,000 tons of polypropylene a year.
It is not only Poland's largest petrochemical plant construction project, but also the largest plant project ever won and executed by a Korean engineering company in EU. This project is expected to serve as a stepping stone for entry into various construction fields in Europe, which had high entry barriers.
