Investment in a Modern Air Separation Unit in Slovenia by Messer

Industrial gases specialist Messer is investing €15m in a modern air separation unit in Škofja Loka, Slovenia. The plant will produce air gases such as nitrogen, oxygen and argon, and is expected to be ready within a year. The investment will create up to 20 new jobs and strengthen Messer's cooperation with family-run company Knauf, which requires oxygen to modernise its technology for the manufacture of mineral wool. The plant will be built in close proximity to Knauf, allowing for direct oxygen supply and reducing emissions and waste. The air gases produced will be used in various industries.
